Florida's SWIC approves and schedules all communications unit training, and has assigned a coordinator for these requests. Please contact us for details.


All courses are posted via FDEM SERT TRAC (now being converted to FTEM FLEX), you may find the link in our resources tab.


Absolutely! We would welcome out-of-state or federal partner/tribal agencies to attend, space permitting. We generally allow 2 seats per class for personnel from outside Florida. 


Communications unit courses in Florida are generally planned 9 to 12 months in advance.  Requests should be made from a county emergency management agency to Florida's SWIC.  A class coordinator will be assigned to guide the process from there.
